Dillon Nathaniel Releases ‘Obsessions’

Dillon Nathaniel is having a huge 2019 thus far, taking reign with his Warehouse Movement eclectic tech-house style of sounds. His ability to tactically manipulate sounds anchors his unique avenue between house and techno music. Carrying an infectious arsenal of songs, his songs appear on CONFESSION, Heldeep, Night Bass, Insomniac Records, Big Beat, and more. Out on August 16th, Dillon releases the first single to his forthcoming EP, Obsessions.

While his quirky, innovative sounds have been on an exciting ascension, this young producer has roots embedded in all the right places. Starting at the young age of 8, Dillon has grown up listening to Carl Cox and Sasha. At 16 years old, Dillon’s father brought him to his first EDC. Fast forward to 2019, Dillon’s headlined EDC: Las Vegas and a headlining gig at Sound Nightclub in his hometown, Los Angeles. His songs have also caught the attention of Malaa, Tchami, AC Slater, Chris Lake, and Destructo.

There’s something unique about Obsessions‘ that makes it completely different from any other house song. Creating his own distinctive bass line, accompanied by a myriad of synth whirls, the song zips straight into something that lives nothing short of getting obsessed over.

From the thumping kick drums to the familiar house hi-hats of clashing cymbals, the song leads into a shooting build-up followed by a sleek vocal that announces “Obsession.” There’s a deep, pulsating acid synth that orbs throughout the track, tickling different frequencies across the sound stage. Dillon’s technical mastermind in creating an extraordinary marriage between familiar house beats and a hard-hitting techno groove is highly addictive.

Obsessions‘ is definitely going to be on repeat without a scheduled expiration date. How could we get sick of something that we’re already obsessed over? Thanks for the fire track, Dillon.
