Jeffrey Sutorius Set To Return To Dash Berlin

Late last August, it was reported that Dash Berlin as we knew it would be no more. The group had been originally being comprised of its frontman Jeffrey Sutorius and two behind the scenes producers, Sebastiaan Molijn and Eelke Kalberg. In actuality, you could call these last two men ghost producers. What had originally started as a trio, had morphed into the Dash Berlin we all knew and loved, with Jeff as its face.

Since their breakup, we have seen Jeffrey begin his own music career, performing under his own name, Jeffrey Sutorius. In the meantime, we haven’t exactly seen any Dash Berlin performances from the other two producers. 2019 did, however, see the “new” Dash duo release a track.

What had originally started with some squabbles, quickly turned into a war of words across various social media platforms. With both sides releasing their sides of the story, it seemed as though we may never see Dash Berlin again. Fast forward to today, and it seems as though our prayers have been answered.

The Return

Earlier today, the team behind Dash released a press statement announcing that the trio had “succeeded in overcoming [their] differences and misunderstandings”. They continue on to state that “At the end of the day, good communication is everything.”. If you’ve ever been involved in group projects of any sort, I’m sure you agree that these words ring true.

The statement takes a minor left turn in stating that:

“After a sensational rollercoaster journey of more than 10 years with many highlights, we all have come to the conclusion that the chemistry between us is gone and that it is time for a change.”.

They bring us back on course by stating that they are looking forward to a new chapter, and that:

“Jeffrey Sutorius will set forth the legacy of Dash Berlin within his own vision.”.

It is stated that:

“The founding members in Sebastiaan Molijn and Eelke  Kalberg have decided to end their part in the Dash Berlin project.”

The Vanderkleij Agency which represented Dash has also decided to step aside. In doing so, they will all be focusing on new, exciting, musical projects. This is not the best news to hear. I say this because I’m sure it will result in Sutorius taking on most, if not all the production work. Regardless, I’m sure the former members will be interested in ghost production work.

The silver lining to this all is that we will indeed get Dash Berlin back. With this being said, Sutorius will once more be able to play the tunes we love Dash Berlin for. Curious web surfers who head over to the official DB website are greeted with the image below.
