Ruben de Ronde & Louise Rademakers – Games (Remixes)
Ruben de Ronde just presented us with a couple of remixes taking on his collaboration with Louise Rademakers, ‘Games‘. The remixes are by Matt Fax and HAKA, both of which had earlier releases played on ‘A State of Trance‘. Ruben’s Statement! Recordings released the remixes under Armin van Buuren‘s Armada Music label.
To kick things off, Matt Fax introduces his remix with a vibrating and pulsing bass-line. Spectral vocals surround the intro alongside some melodic elements building into a breakdown. The vocals then lie on a platform of pads and resonant synths, carrying into bright stabs and a riser. The track finally builds into a feel-good chorus where the melodic aspects come together with the vocals and closed-in percussion. Following it up, HAKA’s remix kicks in with an aggressive bass and chiming melody. The breakdown brings the vocals and underlying piano forward to take center-stage. Plucks and a lasting flanger build into shimmering pads hosting an underlying crunchy bass. To top it off, a punching, deep kick is conjoined with a low-end bass for the drop.
