YouTuber Fools Social Media with Photoshopped Coachella Pics

No matter where you’re from, you’ve probably been bombarded with Coachella photos on social media. Thousands of people were able to attend the music festival over the past two weekends but what about those who missed out? One creative blogger who was unable to physically attend Coachella this year spent the time to photoshop himself in. Once again, we’re given an example of how misleading social media can really be.

Bryon Denton, a YouTube and Instagram vlogger successfully tricked the internet with his photoshopped festival pics.  In order to pull off the task, Denton first had to purchase Coachella inspired clothing. One pair of trousers and a boiler suit later, Denton was ready for Coachella.

While he didn’t have to purchase a festival ticket, Bryon still had to spend countless hours photographing himself. He was so detailed, that he even created a traveling shot, showing his friend and himself at Starbucks and the airport. Next, it was crucial to have a few ‘pool photos’ since Coachella is known for its desert landscape. Little did social media know, but Bryon had never left his home in London.

Once the photography and photoshop sessions were complete, it was time to upload to Instagram. Luckily, all the time and money paid off, as people fell for the convincing photos. Even better, Bryon stated his ‘Coachella’ pictures received many more likes than his other posts. After about a week or so with his photos on social media, Bryon informed his YouTube channel that it was all staged and he was never in California. Don’t get us wrong, the photos look pretty legit but it would’ve been much easier and enjoyable to be at Coachella in person!

Take a look at his artificial Coachella experience below.
