Miami Music Week is over but here’s a little release from two techno heavyweights Charlotte de Witte and Chris Liebing. Thousands of b2b sets were recorded, so this one is for our tech heads out there. While it’s time to go back to our daily routines, take this little set with you and reminisce or indulge.
Radio 1’s Essential mix headed to Miami to present their highlights from from MMW. Charlotte and Chris played together poolside at a party at the Kimpton Surfcomber Hotel. They rolled out all the stops with acid lines and thumping kick drums.
With tracks from Andre Salata, Roland Lessker, Steve Redhead, Michael Klein, Coyu, and more, this mix takes you on a journey. It starts off light and transitions into more heavier, darker sounds. Through all the sectors of techno, you can imagine the vibes by the pool to be eclectic and groovy. Drop a couple of IDs in there to leave us yearning for more. We’ve long been following our Belgian beauty through her career as she has proven worthy in her skill in the studio and behind the decks. She’s on track for fast-paced success elevating her own style of uncompromising, headstrong techno. Her natural ease, composure, and expertise is why we come to see the techno queen live.
Between darkness and light, this is where the mix gets its moody transitions. Chris stands tall for the deeper, solid side of techno and breeds sonic journeys far away from the beaten tracks of mainstream music. Using digitalization of music in creative ways, he is the master at manipulating individual elements in his sets. A worldwide, renowned and requested DJ, this German star is here to stay.
