Sullivan King – Save The World

A Swedish House Mafia track with a rock and dubstep influence? It might sound weird but it’s possible with Sullivan King as the mastermind behind it. Taking on one of the most iconic Swedish House Mafia songs ever produced, the rockstar DJ gives us his blazing hot remake for ‘Save The World’.

“One of the first electro house tracks I heard was Knife Party’s remix of SHM’s ‘Save The World’ which was definitely a massive part of my intro into early 2010’s dance music. For years I wanted to find a way to make that song my own for live shows. I don’t play a lot of super well known Top 40 dance songs so when I end up throwing something like this in a set, I love giving it my own take.”

Starting off with a rippling guitar riff, the song slowly builds up into the chorus lyrics that we are all so familiar with. Sullivan’s voice is smooth and soothing in this one which is quite different from his usual raw and heavy voice. His infectious vocals just might convince you that you are going to save the world until we get hit by his signature screamo vocal outburst. And that’s the cue for the impending heavy dubstep drops.
