Making his EDMTunes debut, is none other than Greek DJ & Record Producer, Mel Ody. Mel Ody, whose real name is Odyssefs Molfesis, has been making waves from his home country of Greece through his productions such as his last single ‘Still Kids‘ featuring Julian Comeau. Having gone on the record to state that his musical influences include everything from Pop to Rock to Future Bass, it is interesting to hear the unique sound that Ody has carved out for himself.
For the best example of this, look no further than his latest release ‘Can’t Go Back‘ featuring David Shane on the vocals. You may remember Shane from his collaboration with QUIX and Vincent, titled ‘Hero‘ which was released last August.
In true Mel Ody fashion, ‘Can’t Go Back‘ features elements from both Pop Music, and Future Bass, as well as some deep R&B, inspired piano chords. ‘Can’t Go Back‘ opens up with a pretty neat whistle melody, that is just begging to be sampled.
