DMVU – Anotha Potion
Denver-based DJ, DMVU, is an up and coming dubstep talent. His 2018 EP, Moon Man, received praise from huge names like Excision, Downlink, Figure, N-Type, Jaguar Skills, and more. His latest single, ‘Anotha Potion‘, is a heavily constructed wonky banger. That might be a dense description, but that’s only because this track is that intense.
The introduction is dark yet angelic, but if you think the rest of the production follows this pattern then you are in for a ride. From there we catapult into a chaotic rollercoaster that is both exhilarating and…well insane (in a good way). DMVU is able to mix in the witchy chorus to let us catch our breath for a bit before we transcend into more drops and sharp turns.
The single was released through Circus Records, an indie record label. Circus Records was founded by Flux Pavilion, Doctor P, UB40, Earl Falconer, and Simon Swan. DMVU is obviously a great fit for this label and delivers a promising sound.
