Dirtybird Miami 2019 Compilation

Dirtybird Miami 2019 Compilation

Dirtybird is always in the place to be so this time of year, that means Miami. Ultra Music Festival kicks off today and anyone who’s behind the decks is unleashing the filthiest tracks they can find. Not to be outdone, Dirtybird compiles another collection of its finest techno and house vibes for their ‘2019 Miami Compilation.’

For this year’s Miami compilation, DB held nothing back. Gene Farris & Tim Barresko, ZDS, and Kolombo brought the heat. However, the comp opens with a banger, ‘Gucci Panties‘ by Franklyn Watts & CAT. The bass-heavy funky house beat gets your head nodding right out of the gate and sets the tone for the rest of the album. It’s certainly something you’ll want to bang on the way to the festival and to the after party as well.

One of the more grimey efforts on the album comes from Wyatt Marshall & OMNOM. Their collab on ‘Hustler‘ revives that dirty tech feeling we’re all accustomed to hearing from Dirtybird. It’s fitting too as that’s where the compilation switches gears to a more techno warehouse vibe. The track moves along smoothly across the 4X4 kick but doesn’t lull you to sleep. Then, it hypes up when the sample and synths kick in to carry you until the track levels off and fades out. Heads everywhere will be chanting ‘I’m a hustler baby’ from this one.

Dirtybird’s 2019 Miami Compilation feels like a surprise afterparty b2b set. All the tracks blend together perfectly and the comp never loses that Miami feel. To top it off, Gene Farris puts together a continuous mix as a companion piece. It’s exactly what you need to blast out your speakers while you cruise home from the beach. The DB crew made a statement with this mix and clearly, it was, “Hello Miami! Let’s f**cking party!”
