Slushii Visits His Old High School to Play a Set

SLUSHIIEveryone loves an artist that never forgets their roots which helped make them who they are today. Yesterday, Slushii dropped into his old school to play a set for high school students during their lunch period.

As seen in the video, everyone’s favorite 711 drink is playing ‘There x2’ and then proceeds to give a few words of inspiration to the students.

“I graduated from Lenape High SCHool 3 years ago and if I can do this, all of you can do this. It doesn’t matter what you look like, where you come from, how old you are, how young you are, you can do whatever you want as long as you believe in yourselves.”

Known for his innovative sound, Slushii has quickly become one of the biggest DJs in the world. This comes as no surprise due to his ability to play multiple instruments, sing and even songwrite. What might interest his fans is his humble beginning on how he became who he is today.

Before Julian Scanlan became the Slush, he use to go by DJ Swoon and even participated in his high school talent show. He went from playing in front of a couple hundred of his peers to tens of thousands of people today. This just shows that if you truly love something and are willing to commit your all to it, you can accomplish it.
