Nero Says They’re Not Actually Performing at Ultra

While many of us are still reeling from the awesomeness that is Ultra Music Festival‘s phase 2 lineup, one artist on the bill was a bit perturbed. Nero was scheduled to close out the UMF Radio stage during the Mau5trap takeover. In fact, the lineup listed on the site still shows the name. However, Nero just took to Twitter to say it was a mistake. However the tweet has since been deleted. The plot thickens.

This isn’t the first time Ultra has had a lineup announcement snafu. In 2017 Carnage was announced on the Phase 1 lineup only to be quickly removed after he became angry for not getting a headline billing. Just what exactly happened here is anybody’s guess, but the world of booking artists and announcing them is much trickier than you might imagine. We’re sure whoever the replacement headliner is will be somebody great, and the rest of the lineup that day is stacked as well.

Lineup from Ultra website as of 5pm 2/7/19
