You’ve heard of the terrifying game of Russian Roulette in which a player places a single round in a revolver, spins the cylinder, and must continue to place the firearm against their head, and ultimately, they have to pull the trigger to decide their fate. Recently, Snails has spun the notorious activity in a highly more positive way, and trust us, you’ll want to jump on the bandwagon as soon as possible!
If you didn’t already love the Canadian producer, you most certainly will after hearing the details of his legendary DJ game idea – christened “USB Roulette“.
The object of the game is to have several willing DJs prepare a USB containing at least 1 hour of playable content. The vomitstep creator continues to state “special rules apply when it comes to [putting] any other kind of [EDM] music (4 songs max accepted in the USB, can be anything the person wants)”. Here’s the kicker: once the flash drives have been loaded, the players must put their thumb drive in a bucket, and the players must perform an entire set with the USB that they have chosen.
Since Snails’ intriguing proposal, EDM heavyweights such as Laidback Luke, Cray, Sullivan King, Felix Cartel, and many more, have expressed their enthusiasm with the concept. That’s right, one day, we could be hearing Laidback Luke playing a strictly dubstep set!
