Maceo Plex Introduces New MPLX Label Focusing On ‘Personal Experimentation’

It seems as if this is the year for electronic dance music artists branching out to take on new and exciting projects. Diplo comes to mind with his numerous undertakings such as Silk City alongside Mark Ronson and LSD, not to mention the very talented Kayzo launching his own record label christened ‘Welcome Records‘.

Eric Estornel, better known by his stage name Maceo Plex, has now launched his own fresh imprint reinforcing the fact that he’s recognized for his multi-label musicality. On top of the release of Ellum, the sub-label entitled Ellum Black, and Lone Romantic, the Cuban-American producer has continued to branch out his talents to introduce this fresh imprint – named MPLX – to his army of fans.

The 40-year-old musician explained that the new label will be a “vehicle for personal experimentation,” which is fitting as the new imprint is a direct abbreviation of Maceo Plex.

His followers can expect to hear releases from Solitary Daze – that’s right, one may have heard the name back in 2014 with this classic track featuring Gabriel Ananda. Furthermore, fans will want to mark their calendars because, on December 7, 2018, the first production Mutant Romance, a killer two-track EP will be making its highly anticipated debut!

In addition, Maceo Plex will be taking the stage in the always exciting New York City for his undeniably incredible Mosaic party series in February. Check it out below.

With all of these ventures in the making, we can only guess that the beloved artist is in for a truly impeccable 2019. We can’t wait to see what else the future has in store!
