Creamfields Website Confirms Swedish House Mafia Performance

UPDATE:

All Swedish House Mafia fans know by now that the many sightings of the supergroup’s iconic logo in a variety of cities around the world are no coincidence. Instead of giving fans one big list full of upcoming tour dates, the trio continues to slowly announce future performance locations with the showing of three black circles, either on billboards or posters, in the next chosen city.

So far, Stockholm and Mexico City are the only two cities to be announced. Over the last few weeks, however, posters displaying ‘WA4have emerged around Manchester, which is the postcode of the UK’s biggest dance festival, Creamfields. Speculation surrounding these posters led many to believe that these posters were fake, but the official Creamfields Facebook page all-but-confirmed the news with a post stating how happy they were to return to ‘WA4’ this year. The cheeky hint follows Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso‘s performance at the event this past summer, when Axwell shouted “To be continued” into the mic, as the iconic three dots of the Swedish House Mafia logo lit up the Arc stage.

After all of these hints, it now appears to be confirmed that Swedish House Mafia will headline Creamfields in 2019. Even though there is no official announcement from either Swedish House Mafia or the festival itself yet, the Creamfields website home page displays a huge embedded video of the iconic three dots, as well as a smaller version of their logo in the header.

Although Creamfields usually announces their full line-up in February of each year, they strayed away from tradition last year by announcing Carl Cox in December 2017. Because of all the hype surrounding Swedish House Mafia’s reunion, it appears that they may break tradition once again. If their return to Creamfields is confirmed, it will mark their first show on UK soil since July 2012, where they filmed the extremely emotional music video for ‘Don’t You Worry Child’ in front of 60,000 fans at the sold-out MK Bowl.

Keep an eye out for their fifth online countdown timer, which will run out on Wednesday, November 28th, at 6:00 AM ET. Surely a big announcement will follow.
