Another edition of Amsterdam Dance Event has come and gone as we say goodbye to a stunning week in Amsterdam. The event, now finishing its twenty-third year, brought over 400,000 attendees from more than 100 countries to Holland for a mega-stacked program taking over both daytime and night.

Over the course of five days – from October 17-21 – ADE held over 600 daytime and 450 night events. A massive 2,500+ artists gathered in the city to perform, share and discuss with fellow artists and industry members. This year’s event was larger than ever, as ADE continues to grow into a much-anticipated, much-loved exploration of sound by many.

For our team at EDMTunes, we had the opportunity to explore many new venues and experiences unique to the conference. A few of our favorites: a great talk by techno producer Max Cooper about the math and science that stands behind his beautiful visuals for his live set; an inspiring conversation with the legendary Nile Rodgers about how far he’s come and how the industry has changed since his start; an in-the-air performance (literally) by Armin Van Buuren, which you can see below; and countless incredible nights at shows across the city including Awakenings, Audio Obscura, All Day I Dream and more.

All in all, we’re itching to go back already. Amsterdam Dance Event continues to be one of our favorite events, with the perfect mixture of education, inspiration and musical performances for any electronic music lover out there.
