New York’s own warner case returns today with a big, summery tune in collaboration with fellow New Yorker Zak Downtown. “Good Time” is a synthy, upbeat bop that helps listeners scoot on into the weekend. Rhythmic vocals and alluring melodies provide an easy listening experience, giving us a bit of nostalgia mixed with something new as well.
According to warner case, he wrote this instrumental one day whilst hanging out with his cats in his apartment, aptly matching the playful energy of the music.
In his own words, “I love how the vibe, melody, and lyrics all point to one thing: having a good time, plain and simple. Often in music (and Art in general), we get so entrenched in deep symbolism that we forget to just let loose and write something that feels good and makes us happy. Hopefully others will experience the same thing when listening to it.”
