Today leading North American underground electronic curators Teksupport have announced two NYC debut billings featuring back-to-back performances from some of the scene’s most celebrated names. On September 28, house and disco icon Black Madonna will bring her We Still Believe event to New York alongside Honey Dijon to present their newly founded superduo, Black Honey.
This NYC debut will act as a platform for the history drenched curation and forward thinking DJ prowess these acts are known for respectively. Smart Bar Chicago resident Black Madonna has asserted herself as one of dance music’s pivotal voices in 2018 – taking on the social and political causes of the day through both her DJ sets and advocacy. It is no surprise that Black Madonna has joined forces with trans-rights activist and multi-genre Chicago selector Honey Dijon for this very special edition of Teksupport.
Teksupport’s Fall-Winter calendar continues with the December 14 NYC premiere of Âme II Âme: a special hybrid DJ vs live set from the Innervisions label heads and German production pair. This unique performance format offers fans a look into both the technical innovation of the Âme live show and the renowned record box of these global curators. Âme II Âme has bewildered crowds at leading European festivals like Amsterdam’s DGTL and Barcelona’s Primavera and will now land in the rising techno destination of New York City as a treat for their North American fanbase.
Teksupport have just recently launched their own imprint, Teksupport Records, as a continuation of the brand’s dedication to championing the dark corners of the global electronic music scene in their own backyard.
