Jay Hardway – Let Me Tell You Something
If you’ve been around dance music long enough, you’ve most likely heard of the name Jay Hardway. The Drunen native is responsible for smash hits such as ‘Solid‘, ”Golden Pineapple‘ and ‘Coffee Please‘. In addition to these, he also has collaborated with some of dance music’s hottest names. This includes ‘Save Me‘ with Mesto, ‘Wired‘ with MOTi & Babet, as well as his numerous collaborations with Martin Garrix. Today we bring you his next release in the form of his new track ‘Let Me Tell You Something‘.
The track immediately starts off with the vocals singing out the title of “Let me tell you something’. They are followed up with a retro, synthwave style drum-fill that could have easily of been sampled out of your favorite 80’s track. After this, the rest of the elements continue to cycle in resulting with the first drop at 0:45. Just when we think that the track can’t get any better, Hardway brings in some orchestral strings. This occurs at the one-minute-mark, and we can’t help but get a disco-vibe as a result. With a run time of only 2:38, it was easy to find ourselves with this song on repeat.
‘Let Me Tell You Something‘ is different from past Jay hardway songs, in that it features a heavy 80’s influence, yet still has that Hardway twist to it. It is out now on Spinnin’ Records, and can be streamed below.
