What To Expect For Hard Summer 2018

Each year, HARD Events puts on your favorite August festival: HARD Summer 2018. Making its way back to the Fontana Speedway in Southern California, get ready for two days filled with some of the best electronic music and hip-hop acts. Wander the new layout where five outdoor stages bring raving pleasures of L.A.’s finest head bangers. This is the EDM fest of summer — here’s everything you need to know.

Music

This year features headliners Marshmello, Zeds Dead b2b Jauz, Yellow Mustard, Louis the Child and Flosstradamus for Saturday. Travis Scott, Diplo b2b Dillon Francis, Virtual Self, and Virgil Abloh take Sunday. Future bass sensation, San Holo, is returning this weekend alongside a few artists you haven’t seen at HARD before. Fresh from the DIRTYBIRD house is OMNOM who will be debuting for his first HARD appearance this weekend. Similarly, infamous Dutch duo, Yellow Claw, will also premiere and you can bet they’ll be swaying your bodies.

Stages

Fancy the main acts of the weekend? Head to the HARD stage for talent including Louis the Child, Marshmello and your favorite B2Bs. If house time is any time and any time is house for you, make your way to the Pink Stage where the likes of Fisher, Felix Da Housecat and others will make you shake. The Corona Electric Beach is here to give you a lime while you get lit to the acts on this stage. All you bass heads, find the no longer hidden Green stage and break those necks! Hidden talents of the electronic dance music world will play on the Purple stage. Go hard or go HARDER at this stage with a healthy mix of the trap/hip hop and hardest acts of the summer.

Heat

The weekend is looking to be in the high 90s with lows in the mid 60s so be sure to bring your sunscreen and stay hydrated! The HARD Splash Pool is available to VIP pass holders. Upgrades anyone? Have the time of your life but remember this means being safe, responsible, and respectful to yourself and others. As an extra added bonus, the stages will be set on cool, infield grass where camping used to be. Take advantage of the additional free filtered water stations and shaded areas!

Functional Fashion

Come dressed for all types of weather, and definitely for comfort. Wear lightweight, breathable clothes so you feel good! Comfortable sneakers are the way to go since you’ll be tearing up the dance floor.

Transportation

We know that getting to and from a festival is madness. This year, skip the traffic and the hassle of parking with the Official City Shuttle Program! Picking up from various locations in Southern California, these comfy, spacious coach buses will get you there and back safely at a fraction of the cost with Uber, Lyft, or any other service. Learning from previous renditions, this year is going to be unforgettable. Insomniac’s health and safety, Ground Control, security, traffic and logistics team will be on site. Make no mistake though, the HARD vibe is very much intact. Have a safe, smooth and fun HARD Summer everyone!
