The Return of Acid House with ‘Summer of Love’

New State Music has set out to capture the essence of those heady days that sent shockwaves through UK society and that still resonates in 2018.

Coming straight out of 1988 and 1989, ‘Summer of Love’ highlights the biggest acid house, rave and Balearic classics of the time. ‘Summer of Love’ is a a 3CD mix album curated and mixed by three of the genres’ most high profile and historically documented DJs: Paul Oakenfold, Nancy Noise and Colin Hudd.

CD1 is mixed by the number one most influential DJ/Producer of all time (by London Evening Standard): Paul Oakenfold, taking inspiration from the likes of Frankie Knuckles, Marshall Jefferson, 808 State and Steve ‘Silk’ Hurley to showcase his expertise.

Being one of the first UK DJs to bring house music from the US, Colin Hudd showcases his expertise of the genre, utilizing hits from Quartz, Rhythim Is Rhythim, Bizarre Inc, Orbital, Joe Smooth and CeCe Rogers.

To wrap up the nostalgic album, Nancy Noise recreates the authentic Ibiza style sound through the tunes of It’s Immaterial, Thrashing Doves and Stretch.
