Tuesday Morning, Demi Lovato was taken to a Los Angeles hospital after suffering from a drug overdose. This comes as sad news as the songstress has struggled with substance addiction for a number of years.

As reported by TMZ, the Los Angeles fire department and police department responded to a medical emergency from the area of her Hollywood Hills home. The songstress was reported to be unconscious on arrival and was given Narcan—an emergency medication to reverse the effects of a narcotic overdose—to revive her.

While some sources are reporting she suffered from a heroin overdose, a source close to Lovato states that is not true. Currently, she is reported by People and Variety to be stable.

Demi Lovato has openly spoken about her addiction to cocaine and alcohol, as well as her eating and bipolar disorders. She started treatment in 2010 for her issues, but relapsed shortly after and had to enter a treatment center again.

Just this June, she came out with her song ‘Sober‘ to reveal that she has relapsed. Demi Lovato has also done work with several EDM artists including Cheat Codes, Marshmello, and most recently Clean Bandit on their single ‘Solo‘.
