Here Are Five Must-See Acts To Catch At Desert Hearts Festival This Weekend

We’re just a few days away from the start of Desert Hearts Festival 2018 and we’re itching for the notorious 72 hours of house and techno basslines that they’ve become so well-known for. With an absolutely stunning lineup of artists – from the Desert Hearts crew of Lee Reynolds, Porky, Marbs and Mikey Lion to Sacha Robotti, wAFF, Atish, Lauren Lane, Serge Devant and many, many more – this will undoubtedly be a weekend for the books.

Though every single artist on this lineup deserves the limelight – as so many are immensely talented and unique beyond belief – we’ve picked five our our favorite acts that you should definitely catch this weekend.

1. Dance Spirit

Los Angeles-based duo Dance Spirit brings a unique vibe that combines minimal house with tribal-infused layers of sound, intertwining dreamy melodies with a rhythm that keeps you moving.

They’ll be playing an epic live morning set – ideal for your morning dance floor mimosas – on Sunday at 9:30AM.

2. Evan Casey

If you’re ready to step into a world of alluring darkness, you should meet Evan Casey. His taste in heavy techno and house will bring you into a wormhole of powerful beats and lose you in a spell of mystery. He hits the decks at the festival Sunday night at 2AM – the perfect time to techno.

3. Kenny Glasgow

Canadian DJ and producer Kenny Glasgow – also half of electronic music duo Art Department – has a knack for bringing dark, driving beats to light up any dance floor he touches. He’s played a massive role as a prominent pioneer of electronic music for over two decades, and his prowess behind the decks speaks for itself. Find him bringing us into the darkness at 10:30pm on Friday night.

4. Damian Lazarus

Leader of the Crosstown Rebels imprint and house and techno extraordinaire, Damian Lazarus needs no introduction. His music is filled with deeply entrancing layers of sound that intermix to tell a story – and his four-hour sunrise set on Sunday morning will be exactly that. He offers a mystical take on a four-on-the-floor beat that will undoubtedly captivate your mind and body as we watch the sun peek over the horizon.

5. Sunshine Jones

This San Francisco-based producer is perhaps one of the most extraordinary house music makers we have ever stumbled upon. His sets consist of a live-DJ infusion that combines live singing and mixing, re-editing on the fly and combining an array of creative elements that artfully combine to tell a immersive, captivating story.

Catch him playing one of his legendary live sets on Sunday at 4pm.
