Lollapalooza Buenos Aires Cancels Third Day Due To Extreme Weather

Following two incredible days full of music and good vibes, Lollapalooza Buenos Aires has been forced to cancel Day 3 due to extreme weather conditions. Organizers decided to call it off after a long night weathering a rough electrical storm.

The festival started fine on Day 1, with headliners Red Hot Chili Peppers and Imagine Dragons being joined by Hardwell on the EDM side. On Day 2, The Killers and Lana del Rey took to the main stages, while NGHTMARE and DJ Snake brought some heavy hitting dance. Had everything gone fine, Day 3 would have brought the likes of Dillon Francis, Galantis, Kygo and Alan Walker on stage.

With a broad lineup of over 100 artists, the fifth edition of Lollapalooza’s foray into Argentina was placed to be the biggest up until now. The festival had prepared five stages, plenty of activities, tons of food trucks with vegan options and even a Kidzapalooza for the little ones.

Although information about the reimbursements has yet to be released, we praise the organizers’ decision to cancel the last day of the event. Only a few months ago, similar circumstances resulted in a stage collapsing in Brazil during a music festival, killing a DJ and injuring others.
