Alex Sonata – Meraki
Alex Sonata hit the ground running in 2015. The Scottish born trance producer is gaining popularity across the board from fans and other artists alike. Sonata’s tracks have been played on Armin van Buuren‘s A State Of Trance radio show and ‘Cruiser,’ his 2016 collaboration with Gareth Emery, topped the iTunes charts in over 15 countries. Now Alex returns with ‘Meraki,’ out now on Garuda.
Sonata’s newest release is an ethereal feel good track perfect for the approaching festival season. The driving trance melody drops into an extended breakdown framed with piano and violin progressions. A light female vocal sample joins in at the song begins to build back up, picking the original synth line back up. The progressive drop feels perfect as the track pushes on towards the end.
