Michael Brun Stuns With ‘Bayo’ Music Video Shot In Haiti

Michael Brun is a name that has become synonymous with electronic music culture in Haiti. His dedication to his home country has shined through with his multiple philanthropic endeavors and most recently, a string of Haitian-inspired releases that celebrate the country’s rich musical heritage. Today, Michael continues in that vein with ‘Bayo‘.

Like it’s predecessors ‘Wherever I Go’ and ‘Gaya’, ‘Bayo’ is rich with Haitian sounds – Afrobeat, Rara, Konpa, Hip-hop, and Reggaeton melded into Michael’s signature electronic style. Blaring Horns and traditional Haitian drums coupled with fellow Haitian rappers Baky and Strong G alongside vocalist J. Perry make for an absolutely infectious track with a beat that will be stuck in your head for days to come.

Michael also pairs the release with a beautiful music video celebrating the youth of Haiti and their independent positive spirits. The video was shot on location in Haiti with the children from the area of Jacmel. The song’s message is that Haiti refused to be defined by tragedy, and this new generation of Haitians are creating their own identities and shaping their own destinies.

Overall, a stunning release from Brun with a deeper message about Haitian culture and identity.
