While taking the less-is-more approach in 2017, Icarus only released 3 tracks in the whole year. But in 2018, the Icarus boys are starting off the new year in a big way. They’ve released their new track, ‘Love Has Come Around’, and it was named Hottest Record in The World by Annie Mac shortly after its release. ‘Love Has Come Around’ is the first track released off their upcoming EP ‘In The Dark’ which will be out this spring.
The new track meshes their signature sound with beautiful synths blended throughout the track. Ian & Tom had this to say about the track:
“We didn’t just want to do a straight-up disco vibe,” says Ian. “We wanted to take the sample and flip it to make something new. I think we’ve really put out stamp on it.” “It’s one of those things that you hear once and it’s in your head for days,” adds Tom.
The two announced that they will be embarking on their first live tour with guest vocalists and musicians as well. They’ll be bringing their diverse and magical sound to 3 UK cities in April. You can find the UK tour dates and ‘Love Has Come Around’ below.
