Deadmau5 Closes NY Testpilot Set with “Levels”

Testpilot

Techno titillater Testpilot murdered his 180-minute inaugural New York spectacle at Brooklyn’s nightclub Depot 52 Warehouse on Saturday, Dec. 30. He spun “Sometimes Things Get Complicated,” “I Remember,” “FML,” “Ghosts N Stuff,” “Strobe,” Prodigy‘s “Smack My Bitch Up,” Rick and Morty‘s “Show Me What You Got” sample and Avicii‘s “Levels“?

The kicker is when Testpilot/Deadmau5/Joel Zimmerman tickled fans’ fancy, commanding them to

“Wait for the drop.

Here it comes.

It’s coming!”

Afterwards, Zimmerman put down the mic, cut a rug and shotgunned one too many brewskis. Epic.

Deadmau5 premiered persona Testpilot side-by-side Richie Hawtin on March 12, 2013 at Stubb’s BBQ in Austin, Texas amidst SXSW.
