It’s been a fantastic year for dance music. From tons of original releases to countless tours and festival appearances from our favorite artists, 2017 was one for the books. It’s not quite over yet, though. End the year off with a bang at one of these events:
Insomniac’s premier NYE destination, Countdown is sure to bring the good times with a great lineup. The 2-day festival will feature fan-favorite headliners Porter Robinson and Deadmau5, and Diplo. Bassheads will be able to head bang their way into 2017 with sets from Flux Pavilion, Kai Wachi, Borgore, and a special Jauz b2b Zed’s Dead set. Countdown will be held at the NOS Events Center in San Bernardino, CA. Tickets are on sale here.
If raving in the snow sounds like your idea of a good time, then Snowglobe Festival might just be perfect for you. The 3-day fest, set in beautiful Lake Tahoe, will definitely be a party with Dillon Francis, Porter Robinson, and Zedd headlining. The festival will also feature some non-dance music acts such as rappers Travis Scott and E-40, as well as breakout R&B artist Khalid. The rest of the lineup features something for everyone, with notable trap, future bass, and house artists all in attendance. Tickets are on sale here.
Lights All Night
The Lone Star state is home to this 2-day affair. Taking place in a large warehouse-type setting, Lights All Night brings an all-star lineup with great production and vibes to its attendees. In addition to well-known headliners Bassnectar, Marshmello, and yes, Porter Robinson again, the undercard for this festival is one of those most interesting we’ve seen, showcasing a lot of bass house and special b2b sets from up-and-coming artists like Brothel and Essex, as well as Holly and Sayer. Lights All Night is dedicated to showcasing you new talent no other NYE festivals feature, which is why it’s one of our top picks. Lights All Night takes place at Dallas Market Hall and you can buy tickets here.
Decadence has been one of the top NYE festival destinations for years and has now expanded to three locations in Colorado, Arizona, and Utah.
Decadence Colorado is a popular NYE destination, and it’s easy to see why. The headliners, including Odesza, Porter Robinson, Armin Van Buuren, Bassnectar, Diplo, Galantis, Justice and more is just the icing on the cake. The undercard is also stacked, with an appearance by Get Real, Green Velvet and Claude Vonstroke’s joint side project. You can buy tickets here.
Decadence Arizona is a 2-day event with a stellar lineup. Including mainstage favorites such as Armin Van Buuren, Zedd, and Steve Aoki, the festival also features a large range of acts spanning several genres such as house, trap, and dubstep. Be sure to catch the special Justice and Rüfüs du Sol DJ sets. You can buy tickets here.
The smallest of the Decadence events, Decadence Utah in Salt Lake City is just a one-day event, but features Porter Robinson (again), Illenium, Dabin, and others. You can purchase tickets here.
Minimal Effort NYE
If house music is more your speed, then you should consider Minimal Effort NYE in Los Angeles. Minimal Effort is one of the leading providers of techno and house lineups in California, and NYE is no exception. They’re bringing house favorites Justin Martin, J.Phlip, Maya Jane Coles, and many more. Tickets are on sale here.
If you’re a techno and house fan on the east coast, then Cityfox’s New Year’s Marathon Fest might be the perfect fit for you. The festival will take place for a continuous 26 hours total. That’s right, there will be no sleep or breaks for you here. Thankfully, Cityfox has brought you an amazing lineup with headliners Dixon, Lee Burridge, The Martinez Brothers, as well as many more acts to keep you up well into New Year’s day. Cityfox’s Marathon Fest takes place in Brooklyn, NY and you can grab tickets here.
Wherever you end up for New Year’s Eve, we hope you have fun and stay safe out there!
