Dirtybird’s everywhere, we come bearing musical gifts. Label mainstays Walker & Royce and Green Velvet have teamed up on a new track ‘Rub Anotha Dub‘ and it is damn good.
Having recently worked with Billy Kenny, Claude VonStroke, announcing their debut album and a tour, Walker & Royce have been very busy. But amongst all of that, the duo got together with leading Dirtybird player Green Velvet to make some killer music. Green Velvet, one-half of Get Real and top fan favorite, is a guaranteed solid listen when he adds his signature talent to any music he works on.
‘Rub Anotha Dub’ is molded around the classic Dirtybird sound we all love, with a twist. It is mixed with funky, grimy synths and an intoxicating deep house beat that is refreshingly unique. It makes me feel like I am just walking into a club getting ready to dance the night away while also reminding me of an underground after-hours club where everyone goes when they don’t want the night to end. The broody sound and club-centric vibe is something anyone can enjoy and get down to. ‘Rub Anotha Dub’ is a perfect end of summer track because, like the season, you don’t want it to end.
