In an interview with Australian radio station, Triple J, the dubstep king talked about his latest remixes and productions. Skrillex shared that his recent single, ‘Would You Ever‘, was inspired by the unique skateboarding style of Australian skateboarder, Milan Somerville, who was later featured in the song’s official music video. Skrillex also commented on the upcoming release of his remix of Kendrick Lamar‘s ‘Humble‘ as well as mentioning his involvement in Kimbra‘s new album.

Sadly however, Skrillex also shared that he isn’t really doing shows right now and is focusing more on producing in his time off. He performed only two shows this summer; a marathon set to close out Webster Hall and a b2b set with Boys Noize as Dog Blood at Hard Summer. Skrillex also officially rejoined the emo band From First To Last earlier this year. Maybe his participation in his former band is playing a role in his absence from EDM?

As, we all anticipate the release of his remix of ‘Humble’, we also hope Skrillex resumes touring soon. Click here to check out his full interview with Triple J radio.
