Patrice Baumel – BBC Essential Mix
Patrice Baumel is a well known DJ/producer from the musical city of Amsterdam who has been much revered in the Awakenings’Â circle. His famous career has given us some of the most groovy and dance-able techno tunes. Patrice has graced the recent BBC Essential Mix with his hypnotic presence and dished out some fabulous tracks.
The Dutch producer has never acclimated himself to one specific genre and has hovered over the Techno and Deep House scenes since he began producing. This characteristic of Patrice has won him fans from all over the world who would be pleased to add another of his sets to their playlists. ‘Mutant Pop’ and ‘Just Electricity’ are his two numbers that created a massive wave and were off Trapez Records. The set reflects his maverick side with some less heard yet hammering tunes that could light up a dance club. We thought the set was a two hour roller-coaster ride. Let us know what you felt.
