Even if you haven’t heard of King Henry, you’ve definitely heard his work. The Grammy-nominated producer has worked with everyone from Beyoncé to Major Lazer, and is Diplo’s go-to producer. Today, King Henry returns to release his second EP, a collaborative effort with the likes of up-and-comer and recent Odesza collaborator Sasha Sloan and the legendary Maejor, returning after a brief hiatus. If that weren’t enough, King Henry returns with a brand new sensual music video for ‘I’ll Be There‘ along with the last two tracks on the EP.
‘I’ll Be There’ is a gentle, yet punchy track. Consistent, muted bass + soft percussion blends beautifully with Sasha Sloans silky smooth vocals. The catchy melody will stay ringing in your head for days. The Lo-Fi, grainy music video adds a great visual element to the track. The video gives brief vignettes of young couples and fashionistas with fast transitions with bright vibrant colors.

‘Deja Vu’ sees the return of R&B master Maejor, who’s long list of songwriting credits includes tracks from the likes of Ciara, Wiz Khalifa, Skrillex, Trey Songz, and more. King Henry’s talent as a producer shines on this track, using minimal percussion and melody to create such rich emotion throughout the brief 3-minute track.
The new 4-track EP also includes the previously released critically-acclaimed tracks ‘Moment’ Feat. Rhye and ‘Destiny’ Feat. Ry-X. This is King Henry’s second EP, following his widely adored ‘Don’t Stay Away’ EP from late 2016, which has already seen over 3-million streams to date.
