GROMO is a New York City high school student who wakes up every day with an intense urge to create music. He’s one of the youngest DJ/producers to play Ultra Music Festival and is returning to Ultra Europe this weekend equipped with his new single. Gromo will surely be showing off his latest “Reaction,” his follow up to “Selfish.” Both singles focus on the urban electronic vibe he is pushing, featuring hip-hop influenced instrumentals with the soul of R&B at the center of the sound. The clean, soft sound placed in a fluid, but sporadic order brings out the story of one trying to practice selflessness in relation to another they love.
“Electronic music completely changed my perspective on life, and opened up a whole new direction. I started reaching back to all the music I first heard as a kid for ideas,” he says. “I realized I love everything – jazz, blues, pop, big band, classical, rock n’ roll, and metal.” He believes he can learn from all genres to make his own music more compelling. “Song ideas can come from anything, and all music is good.”
With an open-minded attitude and in bold pursuit of his passion, GROMO is resolved to using everything he has learned and everything he’s heard to create his own unique brand of music.
