Nero – Innocence (Reopened)

Nero – Innocence (Reopened)

Nero has released two tracks in honor of the year, 2808, the year their first album was set. August 28th in the UK, where Nero is from, is read as “2808”. The two tracks are titled: ‘Blade Runner 2808 (demo)‘ and ‘Innocence (Reopened)’. This is Nero’s first new solo tracks since their last album in 2015. Additionally, the duo teamed up with Zhu and released the collaboration ‘Dreams‘ a few days earlier.

‘Blade Runner 2808’ is a short snippet track coming in at under 2 minutes. The song is dark and minimal. Thumping snare hits and metallic bass saturate the track. The track is a demo, so it’s not very fleshed out.

However, ‘Innocence (Reopened)’ is the main attraction. It’s a remix of their 2010 track of the same name. The “reopened” version is a more bass influenced future house rather than dubstep. It’s a cool contrast to the original. All in all, the songs are a nice treat for Nero fans. Listen to the track below!
