Nina Kraviz Debuts Her Maiden Release Off Sub-Label GALAXIID

The queen of techno/ghetto, Nina Kraviz’s Awakenings set was like a blizzard from the tech heavens that blew us away. Well, there’s no stopping this artist – she’s announced her maiden release from трип’s sub-label, GALAXIID.

The release will be a reissue of Species Of Fishes’ 1996 10-track album, which blends an intriguing mixture of breaks, techno, ambient and IBM. The album aims to demonstrate the same eclectic vision that Kraviz has for the sublabel. It will be available on July 28th.

Kraviz has been actively involved in the underground and techno scenes around the block. Originally from Russia, she first became influenced by the spells of house music through the local radio. She’s known for her signature ghetto-style drums and synths blended with a skipping bassline. Nina has played numerous roles in her professional life including a singer, DJ and producer and, surprisingly, a dentist.

Nina burst on the scene after she went solo in 2009. She released productions on Efdemin’s Naïf, Jus-Ed’s Underground Quality, and Matt Edwards’ Rekids. She released some groovy tunes the following year as well. It was not until 2011 when she arrived in the true sense of the word. Track called ‘Ghetto Kraviz‘ dropped like a bomb that year and was soon an anthem. The track was subsequently mixed many a times over the past years.

We expect nothing less than sheer class of a release from Nina. In the meantime, revisit her killer set from Awakenings 2017 below!
