Katy Perry’s infectious new album Witness is by far one of 2017’s most talked about records. House music staple Duke Dumont and rising producer Promnite took over production duties to create a hypnotizing club anthem; a clean break from the usual bubblegum pop sound notable of the Katy Perry brand.
Katy Perry reportedly enlisted Valentino Khan to produce the official remix to ‘Swish Swish’, His rework is unapologetically Valentino, touching upon all his signature bass house and trap-infused styles. A titillating bouncy beat kick starts the track and maintains momentum throughout the song with a series of punching percussion. Perry and Minaj’s vocals are perfectly imbedded into the track, never once being overshadowed by the aggressiveness of the beats. Valentino does a spectacular job at sprinkling elements of his own dance styles to produce a club-ready jam that stands on its own from the original Dumont-produced track.
