Baauer Releases Huge Remix of Alt-J’s ‘In Cold Blood’

Baauer

Sometimes the best things in life are the most unexpected. Trap legend Baauer, real name Harry Rodrigues, certainly surprised us with a gift over the weekend by releasing a huge remix of indie rock band Alt-J’s song In Cold Blood‘.

Baauer’s remix pays respects to the original track while adding his own trap flare to it. He leads the remix with the massive brass sound from the original, this time making it the focal point of the track intercut with the choppy the vocals of Joe Newman, the lead vocalist of Alt-J. This remix is quite the banger.

Since the release of his debut full-length album Aa last year, Baauer has been releasing a steady stream of official remixes for big names such as Flume, Gorillaz, and now Alt-J. The producer really shows his versatility by flipping tracks by artists across various genres. He’s pushing the envelope and hopefully promoting the notion that electronic producers can blend genres in a meaningful way.

You can catch Baauer this summer at either HARD Summer or Lollapalooza.
