This weekend, Drew Taggart and Alex Pall touched down at the PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for the latest stop on their album tour. While closing the show, The Chainsmokers displayed a “Thank You Pittsburgh” note in their visuals only to reveal a detrimental typo in the city’s name. Trib Live stated the following in their review of the show:
“The full band version of the song was met with much applause, before being dampened with a misspelled ‘Thank You Pittsburg’ sign that came down at show’s end. It was obviously unfortunate, but even more so because Taggart made it a point to talk about how great the city had been to The Chainsmokers and not every city was as enthusiastic as Pittsburgh”.
It seems that The Chainsmokers have since been reacting to the unfortunate error comically by responding to criticism with a bit of fun. Check out a fan picture from the event below.
