This year Ultra Music Festival felt a little different without one of its Swedish legends. The Swedish House Mafia wild child, Steve Angello, skipped Ultra for the first time since 2012. While former bandmates, Axwell and Sebastian Ingrosso, have been pumping out tracks Steve has been relatviely quiet since the release of his Wild Youth album.
Even his record label, SIZE, had been quiet with almost no releases in 2016. Now SIZE and Steve are roaring back to life and Steve is teasing some big developments ahead of his upcoming Coachella performance. It all started on Twitter where Steve was asked about his next album and he told fans that the title was actually imprinted on the vinyl edition of Wild Youth. Lo and behold, late last week Steve dropped teaser tweets and a cryptic Facebook video that has everybody screaming album. Apparently the album, or lead single, (or both) will be titled Almost Human.
With the similarity to Daft Punk’s Human After All album and a Coachella headlining performance, this seems like the best time for Steve Angello to unveil his next creative venture. Best of all, Steve’s Coachella performance will be livestreamed, so we can all bear witness.
