The Chainsmokers Debut Album Tops The Charts

Chainsmokers

The Chainsmokers have been a hot commodity for the last year or so, dropping hit after hit and filling stadiums of people in the process at their shows. With that being said, all this success hasn’t come easy and without extreme criticism; unfortunately their debut album Memories… Do Not Open wasn’t able to escape the critics’ and online trolls crosshairs. Don’t feel too bad for them though, it’s still topping the Billboard charts — proving the only opinion that matters is the fans.

The EDM/pop stars managed to hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 200 Chart by selling 221,000 equivalent album units and 166,000 of these were traditional album sales. One can credit these impressive numbers to their massive fan base and The Chainsmokers’ witty marketing tactics such as their concert ticket/album bundle sale they ran to promote their upcoming arena tour. A lot can be said about the album ,which features 10 new tracks and their familiar global hits “Paris” and “Something Just Like This” featuring Coldplay. Hats off to all the success, fellas.
