New Techno Club Set to Launch in Munich Museum

Munich’s biggest museum, Deutsches Museum’s Forum des Techniks, is set to be the home of a new techno club called Blitz. The nightclub will feature two dance floors that will be able to withstand a total capacity of 600 and a VOID sound system that has been specifically built for the space, paired with an interior that has been delicately designed to optimize the acoustics. Additionally, a restaurant with branding from visual artist and producer, Trevor Jackson, will be located adjacent to the club. It is set to open next month on April 22nd.

The founders and residents of Blitz boasts some of Munich’s most established DJs including Skee MaskZenker BrothersSascha Sibler, Julietta, and, lastly, David Mauller, who told Groove the new nightclub aims “to be a place of inclusion in a city where nightlife is usually a matter of exclusivity”. The team has also mentioned plans to expand into a label in the future.

While the lineup for their launch party will remain unannounced, there is a confirmed event with a public lineup, which comprises of sets from Ilian Tape, Shed, Stenny, Zenker Brothers, and more. The event will be taking place on May 6th.
