Skrillex & Nero – Promises (Prince Fox ‘one for the djs’ Edit)
Sam Lassner, otherwise known as Prince Fox, has given us his vibey take on Skrillex and Nero‘s classic dubstep anthem ‘Promises‘. With a track this iconic, it’s hard to create a remix or edit that resonates with people – but Prince Fox does exactly that.
This edit starts with the classic build up, leading with the hook everyone knows and loves by Nero’s Alana Stephens. It then falls into an unexpected but extremely satisfying drop that does nothing but put a smile on your face. Some of the original womps can be heard throughout, as well as those same melodic vocals all veterans and newcomers alike know by heart. Overall, this is a track that feels good to listen to in any setting – from driving down the freeway with the windows down to showering and belting the lyrics as loud as possible.
