Diplo Addresses The Future Of Jack Ü In New Interview

Jack Ü

Jack Ü, the duo that took over the world in 2015 and 2016, went on a small hiatus near the end of last year. Their debut album was a huge success and the guys had just finished touring the world when they announced they were done for the year. Unfortunately for fans, it could be a long time before they perform again.

Skrillex and Diplo have been focusing on their solo careers as well as their side projects in From First To Last and Major Lazer. Diplo recently sat down for a Q&A in Sydney, where he was asked about the future of Jack Ü.

“Hopefully,” he answered. “Right now I’m just doing a lot of new Major Lazer stuff and Diplo stuff. The thing with Jack Ü is complicated, because of Atlantic. Skrillex is signed to that label and it’s difficult to do anything with that. I hate major labels, so I don’t really want to do anything with major labels. So it’s hard.

The business side of the industry can definitely get in the way of fun sometimes, but let’s hope we get something from these guys sooner than later.
