Best Sets Of Beyond Wonderland 2017

Insomniac took its attendees down the rabbit whole and into the endless sea this year with Beyond Wonderland – The Endless Sea. An oceanic spin on one of their trademark Wonderland raves, Beyond did not disappoint by going all out with under the sea themed stages, performers, and decor. Taking a break from its usual run at the San Manuel Amphitheater, this year the festival took place at the National Orange Show Event Center. Beyond brought out the big guns in terms of its musical lineup. Below are some highlighted sets that represent the best what was heard this past weekend.

Day 1 – Top 3

Cut Snake at The Aquarium – Pro surfers turned tech house DJs/producers Paul Fisher and Leigh Sedley brought their signature sound to the NOS Center, filling The Aquarium with nothing but techy sounds and good vibes.

Simon Patterson at Cheshire Cove – The psytrance was alive and well at Beyond, and no one brought it better than Simon Patterson, or as others spell it, Psymon Patterson. He took the crowd at Cheshire Cove down into an intergalactic portal that was as beautiful of a journey as it was hard hitting.

Shiba San at The Aquarium – The Dirtybird Records player brought his best to close out Day 1, dropping classic track after track, like his famous ‘Okay‘ and even treated the attendees to a few unreleased IDs. The booty tech connoisseur had the whole place jumping until the very end.

Day 2 – Top 3

Will Clarke at The Aquarium – Another Dirtybird regular, Will Clarke and his signature cuddle crew invaded The Aquarium on Day 2. He served up some dirty beats that ignited the night for everyone who was able to catch him, and brought everyone ‘Back To The Jungle‘.

Redlight at Upside-Down HouseLobster Boy Records label head Redlight absolutely wrecked the Upside-Down House, making it hard to do anything but move your body. He started with an ID that had beautiful vocals and some dirty beats to follow. He threw in some remixes of his well-known hits ‘9TS‘ and ‘Gold Teeth‘ to truly put the cherry on top of his perfect set.

Chris Lake at The Aquarium – Last but definitely not least is the man himself, Chris Lake. He brought his A-Game to Beyond, dropping his hit ‘Operator‘ and his fan favorite remix of ‘California‘. His entire set was bonkers and left everyone with aching legs from grooving hard the entire set.
