As 2016 closes millenials and people all over the world are whining about this year being “the worst ever” after some celebrities have passed away (and they didn’t get their way on November 8). People literally think 2016 has become the grim reaper searching for beloved celebrities to take, so one funny person decided to create a GoFundMe to protect Betty White.
Demetrios Hrysikos has pledged to raise 10,000$ to protect Betty until January 1st 2017.
“Help 2016 catch these hands if it goes anywhere near Betty White! If she’s okay with it I will fly to where ever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan. 1, 2017,” Hrysikos wrote on the GoFundMe page.
Obviously this is taking things way too far, but the move is equal parts mean and funny. Plenty of famous people die every year and 2016 is nothing unusual. We shall see what 2017 holds for us all but until then go to Demetrios’s GoFundMe page if you want to send him your money (for Betty).
