Fifteen years ago, Ferry Corsten and Tiesto joined forces to produce a series of tracks that would become the backbone of the trance revolution. In the late 1990s, the trance genre was still mostly underground and unknown to the mainstream. Artists like Paul Oakenfold and Paul Van Dyk had broken through popularity limitations with film soundtrack features and pop-electronica blends. Gouryella changed the narrative, giving trance a voice of its own, and in 2017, Ferry Corsten will release a documentary which reflects back on this pivotal moment in the electronic music generation.
