Daft Punk & TOILETPAPER to Re-Release ‘Da Funk’ on Gold Vinyl

Da Funk
Tons of news surrounding Daft Punk this week. TOILETPAPER, a magazine run by Maurizio Cattelan and Pierpaolo Ferrari which showcases artists is celebrating a huge milestone of its one million copies in circulation. The cake is a release of Daft Punk’s classic from 1995 “Da Funk” on an exclusive gold vinyl which way back when was debuted on Soma Quality Recordings. Besides being the focal point for the beginning of their illustrious and expansive career, the re-release comes chalk full with not just the track listed above but with “Teachers” as well; both showing themselves originally on debut album Homework. With only 1000 copies being released to the public, the gold printed vinyl is a staple of huge musical milestones achieved through enormous sales numbers. There are a few spots you can snag this £50 item up at, The Vinyl Factory online shop, toiletpapermagazine.com and in the flesh at The Store, 180 The Strand, London WC2. Who knows, you might find a hidden Willie Wonka ticket to tour his chocolate factory too. Just kidding. Couldn’t resist slipping that in.
