Calvin Harris’ ‘My Way’ Hits #1 In 13 Different Countries

On September 16th, Calvin Harris officially released his latest single “My Way” and it’s already made it to the top of the iTunes charts in 13 different countries. This isn’t uncharted waters for the superstar, as he has been putting up similar numbers for over half a decade.

This latest single has very personal lyrics and fans thought it could be an allusion to his recent split from ex-girlfriend Taylor Swift. That being said, he recently did an interview with Elvis Duran from the Z100 Morning Show where he tells listeners that the song is about his time working at a grocery store.

“It’s breaking out of a situation. I thought of the concept years ago, when I left Safeway. I was trying to move to London and I was working in the store in Scotland, I was trying to go on and make music for a living but I couldn’t because I didn’t have any money. I was like, damn this grocery store! If I could break out of this I could have enough time to work on music and get good.”

It goes without saying that Harris definitely broke out of that grocery store, as he is currently one of the biggest musicians in the world. Give “My Way” a listen below.
