Skrillex & Rick Ross – Purple Lambo (The 1989 Flip)

Last week, Skrillex & Rick Ross released their highly anticipated collaboration called “Purple Lamborghini,” featured on the ‘Suicide Squad’ movie soundtrack coming out this Friday. Remixes and bootlegs have begun rolling in, and we’ve got one from New York based duo The 1989 that takes the original punchy trap bassline and flips it into a bass house bomb.

The 1989 is made up of Long Island natives Tech Pat (Patrick Irwin) and 25Lyfe (Brendon Nolan.) These guys have been making a name for themselves flipping hip-hop records into club ready bass tunes. Their past work also includes remixes of 2 Unlimited’s pump up classic Twilight Zone, Duke Dumont’s Ocean Drive, and an official remix on Ultra Records of Chris Lake & Anna Lunoe’s Stomper. You can check out The 1989 flip of “Purple Lamborghini” on their Soundcloud below, and make sure to give these dudes a listen if you’re looking for some fresh hip-hop and bass filled tunes.
