Drake Takes NYC By Storm, Crashes Mad Decent Block Party

Drake
The king of the 6 became the king of New York City this weekend.  Drake sold out Madison Square Garden four consecutive nights, threw two after parties (one at Space New York and the other at Flash Factory, respectively), and made a guest appearance Sunday at Mad Decent Block Party Brooklyn.  In addition to his appearances, Drake also played host to a Summer Sixteen Tour Pop-Up Shop in NYC’s Bowery neighborhood that was open from August 4th – August 8th.

Drake brought out numerous guests during his concert at MSG, something other performers have done in the past; therefore, this is something you could see coming.  What no one saw coming was his unexpected arrival at MDBP Brooklyn.  During DJ Boi-1da’s set, Drake surprised the festival goers by coming out of hiding and performing “Energy”, “Jumpman”, “Back To Back”, and “For Free”, his latest single with DJ Khaled.  Check out a video from backstage of Drake performing “Energy”, off of his mixtape If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late, below.
